#1 and #2 you might not like but some people do. I do not like the price but I can't complain about the quality.

#1 is 100% correct. Verbatim is what you want to buy. This media is garbage. Literally 3 of 5 of the DVDs I burn turn out to be coasters. NEVER once has that happened with Verbatim.

It should be fairly apparent that "given its prevalence on the web" refers to all the stupid grammar errors like there, their, and they're, hear and here, your and you're, than and then, dual and duel, farther and further, and on and on and on. I just finished burning a pack of 50 Memorex DL and at the end of the batch I lost 12. I nursed these all the way - slowest speed, nothing else running while burning, cut out overclocking, regulated power going into the computer and much more. Disappointing, but from what I have read in various forums better than most users have achieved. Amazon sell them for $32.99 for 50 so it may be worth paying a little more so you can return them if you have a bad/suspect batch.

#5, also in your rant, you forgot a butt-load of apostrophes. that's, don't, I'm, etc...should all contain one. Just sayin' if yer gunna call out "Tiburon fan boy", mayk your butt bullit proof.

memorex DL for $30 is a good deal. I've bought these in the past for slightly more from buy.
