Buy.com has this Memorex DVD+R 8X Double Layer Media 8.5GB Spindle for $30 with free shipping. Even if you factor in the double capacity, the price/storage is still more than double that of single layer media. [Compare]

i've been using these for a few years and they seem to be great. But the last 2 cakes i bot...half gave my burners(which i have 2 of) problems. Not sure how this batch is...but i think i'm gonna pay a bit more and go with Verbatim's instead. I don't use these too often, so it took me awhile to discover their defectiveness.

#2 - Perhaps you should try not substituting the word "bought" with "bot".

I just use a memorex burner. Burn at 8X, been through about 60 of them, no errors.

I bought one of these months ago and no coasters yet after burning 10+ discs. They're good..

Yes. Memorex also has DVD+RW drives. In my experience their media seems to work flawlessly in combination with their drives. Whereas my Hitachi can't even tell that the disc is writeable. Wink

So far I have had 0 issues with other machines and DVD players being able to read them.
