NewEgg.com has the RiDATA 4.7GB 8X DVD-R Inkjet Printable 50 Packs Spindle Disc for $11 - 15% back using PayPal = $9 with free shipping. Storage acceleration tests guarantee safe storage for more than 30 years (basically some guy burned it, went out for lunch, and came back and they were still good).

Even if these were given to me for free, they would find their way into the trash. No way would I trust my data to these things.

#1, if my mom was free she'd certainly find the trash as well.

I've gone through about 300 of these discs. no issues with coasters or with unreadable discs after storage.

Of course, I store them in CD sleeves and not in a trash can so your mileage may vary.

I used a few hundreds of RiData DVD-R before and had no problem with them. Now, I prefer Verbatim DVR-R disks.

I've burned hundreds of Ridata discs and haven't had any problems. If your having problems it might be time to replace your drive.

Although I generally use TDKs for my DVD duplication, I have used these in the past with no problems.
