If this works anything like my Zune after the new software update, you may end up driving to places like Boston, AL & Oklahoma City, FL.

Why pay $78 when you could use Google map for free.

#2, because it works offline and like #3 said it has a BT GPS receiver in the box. I've known people that have them and they are fairly happy with them, but I have a portable GPS, so I have no need for it.

Is it better than a ~100 dollars GPS?

I really like Streets & Trips, because it integrates into Outlook, so I can look up some of my outlook contacts, and get directions to and from their address's very easilly.

this thing is not bad. as long as you have some kind of dc plug for the laptop, this is a pretty good option for gps...on highways. it sucks in cities. but the nice thing is that if you have an evdo card, you can also click on the options and connect to the internet regarding certain things on your route.

Simple, effective, budget solution... for those of you who just can't quite bite the bullet and buy a handheld.
