check to see who is servicing the rebate since compusa announced they are closing all their retail stores just after the holidays. also newegg has a better price on this unit right now.

Is that thing any good? I heard that the processing is done by your machine, and thus it can be pretty bad

I got this over a year ago just to see what ATSC signals I could pull out of the air (quite a few, as it turns out), so I never really intended to use it full time on my lower-end notebook. I just fiddle with it once in a while.
As someone else said, if you have a desktop, buy a card. Otherwise, if you have a high-end laptop, this should work.
