Does anyone have any experience with these? It sounds like a cheap way to set up a homebrew DVR or use video capture but I bet for $40 it doesn't work well.

    Plus there's the $30 rebate...

Is this what you can use with a video camera to store pics as well as video?

I have two hooked up to my HTPC, works well if you have a good Over The Air(OTC) signal. Haven't tried the non-HD(analog) functionality, but I've heard it kinda sucks compared to hardware tuners. The HD is great though, just pulls the digital signal off the air and straight to file.

I have this(paid $80). It works great, but it is best for laptops. If you have a tower, get a card with dedicated hardware decoding. This stick is software based and really needs some resources to do the job efficiently.

For the tower DVR setup get a internal card. You will have better overall performance.

I'd go with live stream TV. Free!

I thought this stick changed channels alot slower than my old PCI one.
