Buy.com sucks. I bought a black Zune in mid November and they never shipped it. I have contacted them a dozen times and all the people in India can say is that they have "filed a claim with Henry".

This Zune was selling below $100.00 for a long while. Wass'happened?!

SUnfish is correct. These are reconditioned.
Last month the deals for these brown Zunes were new for $100.

These are the old Zunes. Granted, they're half the price of the Zune 2's, but my understanding from reviews is that they're also about half as desirable.

Reconditioned, means they were returned with no defects. That are or the quality inspector took the day off. Good luck.

Why the RECONDITIONED Zunes are $110 when last month the NEW Zunes were $99 is beyond me.... I got 2 of 'em last month....

Picked up a new 30gb Zune from Buy.com for $90 shipped. Yes... it is brown but 30gb for $90? Totally worth it. I drive about 1250 miles a week. This player is great for my needs.

they were $99 for new because of the black friday sales. now they shot back up. so only the refurb are around $100. i almost got one, but my friend got his stolen.

so i went with a 8GB flash drive model instead. no, not the iPod. they are too pricy with less features and smaller screen size. but they do look nice.

Price doesn't mean much if they don't send it to you after you paid.

I got a brown zune when it was 90 bucks.

Since you can load the new firmware on it, it is much better.

So supply and demand, and the ability to load the Zune2 firmware (basically the same)
