On the 22nd of December, the question is not if it's a deal, it's whether they can rush it to you fast enough for Christmas or if you didn't need it this year and might as well wait for the post-Christmas deals instead.

#1, be a scrooge and save $129. Tis the season to spend your money. Be a good consumerist and buy stuff you don't need from Ben's.

Just what everyone needs a 4.5 foot Xmas tree that you can see over the top of. Very nice deal.

I purchased one of their "best" trees this year. Clear and multicolor lights, remote control, hinges rather than hooks, and so on. The tree arrived smashed in the box, and was supposed to have "built-in" lights so "no messy wires showing". What a load. The lights DO have exposed wires, which are plainly visible, and an entire strand of lights was out (which is pretty serious outage for a 4.5 ft tree). I contacted customer service, and 3 weeks later they finally contacted me. They told me that "you have to return the tree within 30 days of when you ordered it." How convenient. They take 2 weeks to ship, and 3 weeks to contact me about my RMA request, and then tell me it must be received by them within 30 days of when I ordered it. They're overpriced, and you're stuck with whatever you get. Their customer service sux huge. Save half the money, and go to an American Sales store if there's one near you. Balsam Hill is the worst.

I bought a Balasm Hill tree last year. It looks way more real and is easier to set up than the old one I had. The prelit segments are a plus, I've set it up twice and have had no problems with the lights. Basically it looks really good even up close and doesn't have the mess of a real tree. Go with the clear light package, it looks more traditional.

I agree with #7 that you do need to "fluff" the tree after its been crammed in the box but this just takes a few minutes.
