#2 and #3 please tell me what's wrong with the product. I see very good spec (HD, 3ccd, SD makes the product small, etc.). I don't have it so I don't know about the quality. Why you peabrains don't give any reason to support your ideas.

I think it's a nice product. The price is abit high, I think. But other HD cams' prices are about $1000.

I don't like peabrains who are rude.

#4, Numbers 2 and 3 are not commenting about the product. Please read between the lines (although it was pretty obvious to me).

I just bought one a couple of weeks ago at Circuit City for $648 (you can still find the ad on this site, but the sale is long gone). I haven't been able to test it yet, so I don't have a very critical review to post. My only precaution would be that you need a very fast computer with the latest technology and software if you want to edit HD video. I'm doing a lot of expensive upgrading now.

Sony is one of the worst Camcorders (HD or SD) unless all you care about is low light filming - then it is maybe the best. Canon is pretty good. Panasonic is very good at color reproduction and is by far the best at image stabilization - nobody even comes close. Too bad the magazine reviewers don't take this into consideration very much - they admit it but don't find it very important. Try to take videos of your kids outdoors holding the Camcorder by hand or filming sports by hand... Nobody will watch the crap out of a Sony or Canon camcorder unless it was on a Tripod, and even then it is pretty bad. What do you want to watch 1 or 5 years from now - jiggly movies on your TV that make you seasick when you watch it?
