These are not authentic Ottoman cubes. The real ones were granite blocks and were launched from catapults on both offensive and defensive campaigns during the 6th and 7th centuries, AD, helping ensure the expansion of the Ottoman empire. It's fall coincided with the flooding of the granite quarry and subsequent lack of projectiles for its armies.
Got two of these, and they're very nice. Supports sitting on (though a bit unstable so sit with a wider stance - girls no skirts here). Worth it.
