Has anyone experienced the difference between a regular SD DVD image and an unconverted image? How does it compare?

Also, what player would you recommend?

Thanks

Search the net like the rest of us and quit begging for someone to do it for you.

I've had an OPPO upconvet player for a year and boy is it great! However, Toshiba's HD-DVD players have fallen in price and they also upconvert as well. I too have seen too many Philips refurbs in every regard but for $30 you won't be out too much.

This one sells for $40 new, so I wouldn't buy the refurb.

Additionally, the USB version sells for not much more (~$70 or $60 on a good sale) and I feel it is definitely worth $30 extra.

I am just waiting for the one with the ATSC Tuner, and HDD for recording to drop in price.

#8, I agree with you.. if you gonna go for one, go for the USB-direct one, well worth the extra dough
