I have their SP500 unit, which is also completely USB driven (has it's own DSP unit). That headset has served me reasonably well - bought it for about this price, and really don't have much in the way of complaints. Comfort isn't the best, but it's not particularly bad either.

These are probably good for Macs. Mac microphones aren't amplified. This will work around that.

from my skyping experiences, most of my friends confirmed that I have the best clarity when using my plantronics USB headset at work. Even though the plantronics set looks the cheapest(with no mute button, inline volume switch, etc), I was told the sound quality was much better than my altec lansing set I use at home with another USB sound card.
