Shop4Tech.com has the PS3 BluWave Remote Control for $20 - 10% code FM10 [Exp 2/15] = $18 with free shipping. This is not the OEM Bluetooth remote, as it operates via a USB dongle that connects to your PS3's front USB port. It also allows other universal remotes (such as Harmony) to work with the PS3, albeit without On/Off functionality.

!BUT! this thing is fantastic for integrating IR to your PS3 and using your Harmony to control it. You won't be able to do power on/off, but you will get about 75% functionality and it's more than enough to watch movies and do some tweaking. The biggest problem is that is does NOT have a PS button, so there is a lot of control you give up with this remote (or your Harmony using the IR adapter).

If you need IR capabilities this is about the best option out there.
I wouldn't pay over $15 for it though.
As stated, there is no PS button, so you can't use it to power on the PS3. There are also no number keys.
It has a slight delay between the key press and the action (less than a second).

This is the first I've heard about IR ability with the PS3. Are there any other options?

yes I have the PS3IRX1 from www.schmartz.com
It is a little more expensive, but it blends into the PS3 so well that most people will never even know it is there.
