It is illegal to sell these CDs without bundle a physical CD.

I use this software regularly. When you are making a DVD, keep in mind you need to keep many smaller files, about 1 file per chapter, otherwise you will have audio sync issues. Keep them much less than 1 GB a piece.

#7 is correct the web site does indeed say this is version 8, which I find has fewer bugs than 7. I had been using version 6 in one of my computers because 7 was so bad. I have not had these issues with version 8.

This is just a teaser. I found that you can't play or burn DVDs with it, except for direct ISO image transfers. If you try, it pops up a message:
Missing features: MPEG-2 Video Decoding (or Encoding)
and prompts you to buy a plug-in that will solve this deficiency for $35. Which you might try to purchase, but after selecting USA are told "This product is not available for the country you have selected. Please go to the Nero Online Shop to choose another product."
I guess they really want you to fork over $80 for the full product.

#14, are you sure about that? AFAIK you only need MPEG-2 decoding/encoding if you are trying to convert video to DVD format.

#15, you definitely need the decoder plug-in to play DVDs with Showtime.
#16, if you're just copying DVDs, yes, Nero Express can supposedly do that, because it doesn't care what files you tell it to burn if they're already in the correct format. But you can't create a DVD from your own video source without the encoder, which is what I was trying to say.
