Philips SHN2500 Noise Cancelling EarphonesBuyExtras.com has the Philips SHN2500 Noise Cancelling Earphones for $18 + $0 shipping = $18 shipped. Yes these are "active" noise cancellation headphones, not simply earplugs that block outside noise (although it appears they do that as well).

I used to have those, they are pretty crappy Smile Sound cancellation is so-so.

Now why in the hell would you want "Sound" cancelling #2?

You can get sound cancelling headphones from drugstore.com for less than $.10 a pair--search for "cotton balls".

I have them. They are completely useless. Poor sound quality and noise cancellation doesn't work.

Useless is right. I threw mine away at the airport right after I tried them out on its maiden voyage.

Noise cancellation does work but only half as well as you would expect. You need to jam them in your ear, hoping the noise isolation will have some benefit. That's why they're so cheap and BOSE are so expensive.

Terrible earphones. Sound is mediocre at best. Noise reduction is extremely poor. No where near as good as any of the Sony noise reduction phones.

This is another horrible Philips product. Tried em in the store for twice this price and they sucked frankly.

Philips sucks. Ok their cheap DVD players seem ok but otherwise F'em.. Who else has as many refurbs flooding the market.
