Hurry, before Blockbuster goes out of business for being 5 years behind with their business model!

I'm a member of Blockbuster's in-store "Movie Pass" program, and they just now jacked the price up to a new level (and it was already too expensive). Unlimited rentals, 1 at a time, went from (approximately) $19 to $29. Two at a time went from approximately $29 to $35.

I had their 2 at a time plan and their store is close to the house. Very nice, but dropped it for netflix when they dropped their price and American Airlines offered air miles for signing up with them. Netflix seems to be faster on turnarounds.

Sorry, reposted my earlier comment somehow.

Netflix for me, too. Instant View has added some great, and more recent, stuff to the selection. Watching Instant View on my 46 inch TV is not bad, better that general standard def, slightly less than DVD, but very acceptable considering it is a free add-on to my regular subscription. And I can watch Instant View on any of my computers, as long as I am logged in to my account. I live only 100 miles for a Netflix mailing center, so I get stuff pretty fast. And I pay less than $20 a month.

Count me in on Netflix too. We got fed up with the Blockbuster near our house because you would return the movies and the idiots working at the store never got them logged in as returned. Then for the next week and a half we would come home to these automated messages on our answering machine saying that we had not returned the movie and that our credit card would be billed for the amount of the DVD which was always some ridiculously inflated price compared to what you would buy it for at one of the big box stores. Then you have to drive to the Blockbuster location and fight with them about whether or not it was returned. After that happened about six times we said the hell with them. In the words of ToddSucks; Blockbuster can go drink bleach!

They used to give you a free game rental each month with the online rental - then they stopped that and I cancelled.

I cancelled BB because they raised their dvd by mail service, and cut down the in store rentals. I am ditching NF because they would not let me take another Free trial when I tried one of their trials and was susbscribed about 4-6 years ago. Shame on both of them. I will be going to Red_Box instead for only $1 a movie.

Get receipts when you turn in your movies and games..bacon pisses them off but they will never say you didn't turn something in again...

Good point BenKat but it was just easier to give them the one finger salute and sign up for NetFlix.
