these are the crappiest earphones i ever had. sound quality sucked and noise cancellation blew.

These are not worth the money. Any normal good in-ear headphones will cancel out most ambient noise anyway negating the use for additional noise cancellation. The additional technology just adds weight and another weaker link in the chain.

I have Grado SR 80's, Sennheisers HD595, 280 and the 202.
Those work great for critical listening.
The philips, work great in a car/plane when listening to a mediocre source (mp3s etc).
Persoanlly I prefer the Senn noise cancelling headphones but these philips aint bad for <20. Saw them listed in Best Buy for 45+ if I remember correctly. The are about $25 at Walmart.
