This doesn't have an HD tuner. It will, however, work behind an HD cable box and can control said cable box. I believe you can use your cable box's audio/video outputs as inputs to this Tivo box. This type of setup prevents recording one thing while watching another, since the Tivo takes control of the cable box and switches channels according to your recording schedule. Just throwing this out there....

... so you have to give this thing two cable boxes to be able to use both tuners, or one cable box and an antenna? Seems like it ought to have CableCard slots, but even then, it wouldn't work with most channels on switched (SDV) cable systems, which is being foisted on all of us.
TIVO needs to get their butts in gear and make their boxes two-way, for SDV compatibility and to let you use PPV if the cable box is behind the TIVO.
