sucks for Blu-ray owners who have to pay $55 extra for this set.

This was a cool series and would be great in High-Def. Too bad it isn't in Blu-Ray.

Sucks for HD-DVD owners who won't be able to play their movies on anything once their player is disabled.

Toshiba's message is clear: a dying format and a dying planet. To think that they tried to compete in a format war and make a huge profit, yet this was there sole purpose all along. I get it now, guys. I get it.

HD-DVD owners will tbe able to stack their hardware on their standard DVD player.
Which is stacked on their CD Player.
Which is stacked on their VHS player.
Which is stacked on their BetaMax player.
Which is stacked on their Super8 movie Projector.
Which is stacked on their 8mm Movie Projector.

Do you see the trend....The life span of BlueRay won't be that long.

Proof that HD-DVD is not dead! I bought the Attenborough version on Amazon for $54 on 2/16, and now it's back up to $68! HD-DVD has risen from the dead! Blu-Ray dies! Balance is restored to the universe!

#15 - no that means it's only dying again Smile

Shit - I was going to buy the version narrated by Mike Tyson for $5, but part of the disc was chewed off.

What kind of name is Sigourney anyway?
    #19   SelfGovern - Posted 2:46 pm PDT 03/11/08 (1803 Posts)
#18: "Sigourney" is the kind of name someone named "Sue" picks when she wants to stand out in the world of acting.

#17, I think most ppl would just use mp3 for the convenience. Look at some of new cars that comes with usb or memory card slot for MP3. You buy a $15 key chain usb stick with 2GB of mp3, and stick it in for easy listening.

#15, I agree with you that it's not dead (yet). I want to buy some HD-DVD's for $5. Until then, it's not dead, yet.

    Die already! Die Die
