this is Nero 8 not 7 and believe me do not load Nero 8. It will take over your machine and it will take days to return it to the point before the loading of Nero 8. (IF YOUR LUCKY).

I loaded it and now my ZUNE software will not start and media player is if'fe'. But guess what the Nero Krap works!

Also if you like to burn DVD's to watch on your TV. Forget it with Nero 8. They removed the writing of certain IFO files that are required for DVD players. This is anytype of DVD. Home movies will not work!.

NERO 8 is a on top of my SPYWARE list. If you do not know how to remove spyware items for you regestry and services, DON'T LOAD IT!

I agree Nero is THE WORST SOFTWARE EVER! It takes over everything and replaces good software with their subpar low performance crap software. They are a criminal software company as far as I'm concerned.

I thought Nero was the ultimate German geeky media software. I can never get it too work. I burn with CloneDVD2 -- very cool and always up to date, rip with HDFab HD Decrypter -- same. One or both have 64-bit Vista editions. Play on Windows Media Player. No muss, no fuss, just dust. Roxio is to expensive for my blood -- came with my o-old HP. I wouldn't uninstall it.

Nero 6.6 was the best version to ever come out. All the newer versions are bloated and buggy. I'll stick with my 6.6, thank you.

Agree with above. Nero 6 user forever - gets things done.

Agree with #6 , just install what you need. In my case, just need InfoTool and Burning Rom/Express. Everything else isn't necessary.

I thought I would try out all the programs then delete what I feel is junk software. I paid full price for the complete deal of Nero 8. I clicked during the installation the do not run extension mp3, mp4, jpg, etc. Nero 8 took over my machine without my consent.

It made me a gibbering idiot for days, I wish I could sue Nero for the pain and anguish Nero put my through.

I am not new at this, would you like me to write you a few DOS scripts.
