Might be a good time to buy. Once fuel hits $10/gallon, you won't be able to afford food in the grocery store, and this ships for free NOW.

If you spend this amount on weapons you would have an endless supply of food and water instead of 6 months.... Dog eat dog in the USA, it ain't no orderly group think Japan.. Just wait till California gets what Japan did. Mayhem and Cannibalism in the streets...

Claims 4251 servings. At two people for three months, that will cover one meal per hour all around the clock. This seems to be a way to fatten people up for harvest, especially if you just leave a pair in a small pen with this kit. Anyway, wait till they throw in th ten-million-volt stun gun to deal with intruders.

@#7 I don't know how much game would be available to me within bicycle range of my home, and competition would likely be fierce. Guess I'd better get a scope for my 1926 octagon barrel pump Model 12 Remington .22.

This would last 2 people almost 2 years eating 3 meals a day! Probably would want to die after eating this for 2 months straight, though.

Pretty sure this would only last my family of four neighbors about a week. If the neighborhood turned into cannibals, said family could feed the entire community for months.

A couple of you are wrong about it making people fat or lasting 2 years. Consider what a serving is as listed, even the high carb servings are averaging about 160 calories each, even the bacon is only 80 calories a serving. It states over 2000 calories a day per person for up to three months, "up to" being one of those infamous rounding off optimistic claims so if you are a healthy, active young male it is about right that your share of the two person allotment will last about 2 months for weight maintenance, not gain.

Remember it's marketing, if they can spin the numbers to make it seem better or more than it is, that is what they are going to do. Nobody selling something like this is going to suggest it would only last 1/2 as long if it wouldn't.

Note this food lacks some basic staples you might need like vegetable oil, spices, salt/vinegar/etc. Eating unseasoned canned vegetables and starches is not a pleasant experience. Also consider if you don't have refrigeration (assumed since you are eating canned goods?) that once you open a can of pinto beans for example, if you don't want it going bad you are going to eat a shedload of beans over the next day or so, then have to wait a day to eat again to balance out portions at average amount per day to last the 2 months unless you like the idea of let it spoil then heat it to kill germs, or keeping a kettle on an always burning fire so stuff overcooks.
