Anybody have one of these turds? I know the image quality isn't top-notch, but does it *work* ok? Does it work well with WPA on your wireless network? Reviews on amazon.com and such are largely written by morons saying "this doesn't work right on my mac!" and so on...

is this water resistant so i can put this outside to monitor crap?

strap it to a battery pack and put it in a ziplock bag, then you could put it right into the toilet to monitor crap.

#3, I believe that some folks did just that with the original units, which is why these "refurbs" are now being offered!!

They should have used name-brand ziplock bags instead of cheapo sandwich bags. Those never hold up well to toilet water/poo.

I have one of these and it sucks big time. Sitting 6 inches away from my linksys wireless G router and the picture is about 1 frame every 2-3 seconds.
Indoor image quality is pretty bad as well (low light).

I'd happily sell mine for 10 bucks if I thought I could get that much.

I'll give you $10 for it... you can sell it on ebay for more than that, tho, from what I've seen.

I have one of these as well and the image quality sucks huge cornholio. All of the network features work pretty well: like having it e-mail you a vid clip when it senses motion or auto-record on a computer when it senses motion. Does not have problems working with WPA for me. The camera is completely useless unless you have bright lights on all the time in the room you are using it in. Def blows for security purposes but is OK to maybe keep an eye on your dog from afar.

You mean there's a purpose for these OTHER THAN to keep an eye on your dog??
