Buy.com has the Philips SHN2500 Noise Cancelling Earphones for $17 + $0 shipping = $17 shipped. Yes these are "active" noise cancellation headphones, not simply earplugs that block outside noise (although it appears they do that as well).

The quality of these headphones are so good that it exposes the poor sound quality of ipod/iphone. If you use ipod/iphone, I suggest buying something that cost $5 or less. You don't buy $5000 speakers for a $200 home theater system. You certainly don't want to buy a $17 headphone for a POS like ipod.
