Yeah--are these deals even verified or just ripped from other sites?
The 5 free movies deal is over and the 80GB is unavailable there or anywhere. There is a re-release of the 80GB coming June 12 with a different game (Metal Gear Solid) and the new Sixaxis 3 rumble controller:

DVD Promotion ended earlier this year. Long gone, comes with nothing free. Good news is the 100 credit to your card is fairly quick (Card is offered through chase fyi). Which is nice because I already bank with Chase and it appeared on my online info.
BluRays is great, also 2.0 future proof which is something to think about when buying a unit these days.
The new Ps3 isnt coming out till july, thats most likely just a re-packed version. I think they are making a "new" ps3, all speculation on my side, but I've heard it'll be coming out with the new dual shock controller (Vibrates). And that may make improvements on power/cooling (I heard it might be like the ps2 evolution they may reduce the size). Also heard it could be "White" like thew new Dual shock controllers. Lots of speculation not much really concrete I've seen yet. Hard drives are pretty easy to upgrade as is already, so bumping it to 120/160 might happen.

I'm so tired with this deal.
How if I cancel the Sony card after a month?

#6, how much more "definite" are you looking for? Want Toshiba to burn their patent?

I still don't get how this is a deal. When I signed up for the Sony card long ago they gave you a flat $100 statement credit on ANY purchase over $100. They didn't restrict it to PS3 only.
They add restrictions to qualifying purchases to only PS3's from only one retailer : SonyStyle, and somehow people buy into this becuase it's a PS3. I guess that's called successful marketing

When can I play fun games like found in Wii on PS3? Do you think it's possible?

Quality of DVD movies playing through PS3 is better than playing through most of upconverting DVD players.

So $300 for a PS3 is pretty good. Is it worth it or does the 40G kill this deal? Hell, why do you need so much space anyway (80G+)?
