This camera actually is not that bulky at all. It is rather thin for what it is. I just sold my Canon Pro1 for this camera and I love the Sony. The picture quality is fantastic, the flash is one of the most powerful I have ever had on a portable camera, and the zoom is in a class of its own. It is not a pocket camera like a Canon SD750 or something similar, but it is an excellent portable camera when you want better quality then the pocket ones.

Agree w/#2. Has a great feel to it and the zoom is exceptional at this price point.

A built-in 10x Zeiss lens for $180 !!
This camera is quite small as a bridge camera and has good feel to my hands (better than the top rated Lumix FZ8).
I still use my Lumix FZ20Z bridge camera a lot because they have high power zoom and video recording. They are okay if use outdoor. They are very noisy when compare to DSLR. Mostly cons is that they don't have a optical viewfinder.

Lots of mixed reviews of this model, saying the zoom & compact size are nice but image quality noisy and not very detailed even at low ISOs. At this price it's probably an OK buy, but you might want to spend the extra $100 for better-reviewed models.

Costco B&M has this camera for $199 New. The nice thing about Costco is you have 3 months to return it no questions asked.

I bought this camera to replace an old Kodak model I had, and I am very happy with it. I was always getting blurry pictures indoors with my kodak and with this one I get very few blurry pictures. Only downside in my opinion is that I had to also buy memorystick media.
