Mine does not have an sd card slot. It does not have ANY speed limits in it unlike my old mio c310x. Other than the potential benefit of mapshare, I cannot see any way it is better.

It is barebones compared to all the expensive models out and about. But what more do you need? It works great. I got mine cheaper on black friday. It does well and I like it.

I have this model and works great for me... very accurate gps capabilities, and easy to use. In response to #2, my Tomtom One does give me the speed limits for my area, and beeps when I go 7 km/h over the speed limit. I think you can set that in the options. I do not have an SD card slot either.

I got this for Christmas, great GPS, especially for the price. PC software is great to plan routes in advance, trying to type capital letters is a bit annoying though.

The 2nd edition and LE editions have SD slot, I have an LE with SD slot and bluetooth. I like this GPS a lot as well. I know these ONE's are hackable to enable TTS or other features, I think you may need the SD slot to hack it though but not for sure.
