Taxact is great. If you have more than a basic tax return, spring for the $12.95 "deluxe" version. It offers more help and can increase your return significantly. There are lots of obscure deductions that average people aren't experienced with (sales tax, car property tax, various laws for capital gains, mortgage tax, etc etc)

Help the American economy. Fill out a paper return and mail it. The IRS clerk who has to key in your return thanks you. The postal worker thanks you. Screw the IRS. If they wanted me to e-file, they should have developed their own software.

Hey Guys! Did you know that there is no law that says you have to pay income taxes to the US Govt? Srsly! Some guy in Montana looked it up, did all the research, yada yada, filed a lawsuit. There's supposedly a whole website about it. Bottom line is, you can tell ol' Uncle Sam to go suck it. I haven't filed for the past five years since I heard about this guy, and so far, so good!
