Bought two of these refurbished. Buy.com free shipping takes forever, but it's free. They come with just the unit, earphones, and the usb cable in a poorly packed box. Works great with windows media player. Sounds good and it's cheap. Had them about a month with no problems.

sound good, not too loud but ok, crappy headphones. m series have nicer headphones. screen - unusable. a little better with rockbox, but not in bright sunlight with brightness set to highest. built quality very bad. rockbox improves recording capability and adds new themes and better lcd visibility, mpeg video capability (useless) and voice/font files. mic is very sensitive when recording and gain volume set all the way up. max rec quality in mp3 format 160kbit/s 22.05khz. rockbox still has problems with usb connection so if you transfer files often to/from player it's annoying to connect in MSC mode every time. to transfer once and forget it is more practical with rockbox.
