haha, i always wanted something like this. i never even knew they existed, i mean, i've always seen stuff like this in movies but i never actualy seen one in production.

anybody have any experience with these? do they work well?

I have had one for 2-3 years now. I first purchased the Neat Receipts Scanner setup and found that the recognition software was to poor for my use, so I returned it. Later, I picked up a Syscan TravelScan 464 for less than $100. I've been pretty happy with having a portable scanner. The price on this one is good, expect the scanning speed to be about 1/2 of what a desktop one is.

I have the neat receipts scanner and enjoy it. I don't use the recognition software though. Just make electronic copies... Works great for that...
