#3, I bought this a few weeks ago from PCmicrostore or whatever that other seller is that has this for the same price. I got version 8, which seems to be what everyone got. It's fine for burning ISO's, but the essentials package doesn't seem to have a way of creating a backup DVD-video using files and a folder structure that you can modify.

Nero 6 works fine with Vista and it is the best version to date IMO.

Just remember, the "Essentials" still only comes with basic codec support. I have purchased "Essentials" Nero 7 and 7.8 with Recode 2 from Yesbuy.COM and others, and sure enough, the MPEG-4, H.264, etc... were only good for 30-days. So not a solution for recoding your DVDs to iPod or the like.
