NetFlix is SO much better! Isn't it?

I hate Blockbuster but like Netflix. However, both are going to face serious competition from the $1 rental boxes (MovieCube, bacon, etc). The Blockbuster stores are going to have a real tough time.

EDIT:
Why does RedBox = bacon?

moviecube is crap, looking at their website you can get charges real quick plus their selection is nothing compared to netflix.

I remember seeing things like MovieCube in the early 90's. They didn't go over well then. I don't see it being any different this time around.

I cancelled my membership back a couple months ago, will this work for me if I re-subscribe?

#4, I forgot to mention that I was talking about new releases only. For old movies Netflix can't be beat.

BTW, what charges are you talking about? If you return the movie(s) before 7pm the next day there are no additional charges.

#9 The charges i was talking about were the late fees and if you have the movie longer then 14 days, the will charge you $21 for the movie, plus all the late fees. Just saying, if you forgot about returning a movie that movie can become expensive real fast plus they will charge your credit card directly.

If the person is responsible and can return the movies on time, not a bad deal for new releases.

Netflix is great. BB sux, especially since they raised their rates.

Certainly try the trial membership before you sign up.

I tried it last year and decided to cancel the subscription before it started. The turnaround time for the movies was horrendous (typically a week from return to next movie)so I would have to make sure I watched the movie the night I got it. Too busy to guarantee that. Ask around, netflix had much better turn around in my area.

#10, even after they charge you for a long over do movie you can still return it and get the charge refunded except for about $2 they keep as a late fee. Seems more than fair to me. Been using BB for year or 2. I used to think it was the shit till they changed their plans and made them more restrictive or expensive. I like the in store exchanges. With the rip and return method I was churning 12 movies a month for about $10 and getting a coupon for a movie or game. Sweet while it lasted. I have such a stack of movies I haven't watched that I will be dropping BB since summer is coming and I won't have time to watch what I already have. If I do the mail movie thing again I will probably go Netflix.

I agree with same old same old. I have Netflix now but I downgraded my account to one at a time unlimited. I used to watch movies like crazy and had the three at a time and would send them back every day. They punished me by delaying my deliveries. bastards.

I don't have a problem with them delaying deliveries. I just have a problem with them using the word "unlimited" when advertising their service.

if you live near a blockbuster, this would more convenient since you can return at the store for a new rental.
