You ever heard of this thing called the "Internet?" Most of those magazines are filled with ads and not enough content, except, maybe for p0rn.

#4, you mean there aren't enough ads in your favorite **** rags? What could they offer that can't be found online?

I have 2 laptops, 1 tablet PC and 1 OQO UMPC... all of which have Verizon EVDO cards in them for interweb access... but I still prefer to read MaximumPC magazine (in paper form) when I'm sitting on the toilet.

p0rn is absolute. No matter if it's ads or not.

#6, that's weird to bring all that equipment to the crapper.

Yes much can be found on the internet and is fine for snipets but if extended reading is required I prefer hard copy. I'll just print it out. Old fashioned I guess, but if you look at what has happened to the electronic books it looks like most feel that way. Yes you can have sex by spanking the monkey but nothing beats the real thing. Also if people don't pay for anything you end up with nothing. Web ads are no substitute on the good stuff.

I have subscribed to this magazine for years, and like reading each new issue. If you don't need the latest issue, download the pdf archives at their site. I edit th pdf's and remove all the ads, even splitting up the articles. There's a lot of good info there. I suffer from so much info overload that it's nice to have a guide to remember tips for os installs, bart pe disk creation, setup tversity streaming, etc. Some of the articles are a little below my tech level, but it doesn't hurt to refresh, or evaluate a different approach. The reviews are pretty good, unbiased, although sometimes a little premature. Are there any other rags out there that have similar content?

Magazines like this are what the internet is for....thyat way we can stop wasting the paper.

it isn't a waste of paper if people read it. paper is a renewable resource, it isn't like they are printing the magazine on baby california condors.

They should print the magazine on #1 - hopefully he's not a renewable source.
