So can you pop in a PCI-Express card for this? Or did Dell try and prevent peeps from making this a sweet desktop PC? Any unofficial FAQs like the old SC420?

#2, This is a small footprint, MicroBTX server mainboard. It looks like two (2) PCIe x4 (or x8?) slots for server peripherals and one (1) 32-bit 5V PCI.

desktop, decent - but it comes with NO OPERATING SYSTEM so bring your own.

it does not have a pci x16 (or agp) slot so you won't be able to drop a dvi/hdmi gfx card in it cheaply. it won't be very loud no.
