These things became dirt cheap in a hurry. Anyone tried one out? Would this be a good camera for a grandparent or kid?

Great! I love this! I can get about 600 pics on a 2gb card. Using this I would only end up with 300 after deleting the other 300. Fuck that. It effectively cuts my capacity in half and wastes up a lot of time having to go through deleting every other photo.

I bought this last month from Dell $69. Very happy with it. $84 is way too expensive, so this is not a good deal. By the way, do not pick the green one. Be aware the color representated is not the actual color. Even the black model is light purple black.

OK that was a lame joke but seriously in the mail today I got a TD catalog except it's not longer a TD catalog, it now says CompUSA. Same format as the old TD catalogs, same type of offerings, basically everything just the same as good ol' TD. Enough to make me think TD only bought CompUSA so they could use their name (as if anybody really respects the name "CompUSA" any more than they do "Tiger Direct").
Still, I like looking at their catalogs. They always have all kinds of borderline weird stuff that nobody else advertises, but when you see it you say, "Hey, I could really use one of those!"

This unit takes either xD or SD or SDHC upto 8GB. I bought several for my kids. Pictures taken are slightly noisy when no flash or indoor. With flash or well-exposed scenes (outdoor), pictures came out very good.

great camera for point and shoot...nothing really sweet about it...takes double shots..which get really annoying..
does not do well in the dark..great for quick outdoor shots in the sun ..ebay auctions..people passed out after a long night of drinking.....the camera is ORANGE!
great deal for anyone that wants a decent camera for under 100 bux..but not for a penny more.
