Creative seems to be most creative on screwing you out of $ after you were foolish enough to buy their crap in the first place. On a SB Live card I had, they wanted me to pay for new install discs to go from Win98 to XP. The same card shipped with these discs once XP was released. Bastards.. Found someone with install disk images online so I got it for free. They had the software they just wanted me to pay again for something I already owned just because I upgraded my OS. Paying for updated drivers? Fat chance! Been anti Creative since. Let them eat shit and die.

Does it have Vista driver yet?

I commend them for exercising their legal rights. Just for that, I bought this card and the Inspire T6100 speakers last week. I won't even send in the rebate form. Burn.

I've downgraded from VistaU to XP so that I can use my Live! card. Vista is good and all, but without sound it is not useful.

The driver update (4/2 I think) from MS for my live! card screwed up the entire sound subsystem (integrated and live!) on Vista. After reinstalling Vista 7 times I'm finally fed up.

For $81 its too expensive and I wouldn't buy from creative again anyway. The SB Live! card is #1 in usage today and they don't support it....shame on them.

I removed the Audigy 2 from my computer and just use the onboard sound now. I don't see any need for it now. It sounds just as good, and it doesn't steal many cycles on my quad core chip.

have you noticed that the embedded sound devices on the NIVIDA chipsets these days are unbeatable. You don't need SB's anymore.
