    If only 300w were enough...

300w is enough for most computers. at least if you are not building a high end gaming rig

300W is plenty for about 80-90% of the people out there. Actually, this isn't a bad deal. I'm trying to throw something together for a buddy of mine for pretty cheap and this looks decent for that task. If shipping were free, I'd buy it right now... since it's not, I'm going to mull it over.

Can #2 or #3 please tell me what kind of system a cheap 300W PS would run? From the listed spec's on the PS: 5v=20A, 3.3v=16A, 12v=12A. AMD's spec's require 15A on the 12v leg for the outdated socket 462 (A) XP cpu. Any help would be good.

    #5, P=IV; 15A*12V = 180W. You're welcome.

This should run about anything with one hard drive, one DVD drive and no peripheral cards just fine.

eibgrad... it's rather odd that happened. I don't think the cable alone would have enough value to them that they would bother with that. giving Geeks the benefit of the doubt, maybe you got a returned item from someone ripping geeks off.

Still pretty lame and they should have responded to your inquiry. I will think twice before I buy anything from them that comes with little pieces that I want.
