As an avid wow gamer myself I would recommend either the World of Warcraft Battlechest sold at Buy.com or a needle with heroin. It's best to break off ties with friends and family before loggin on for the first time, otherwise you might not have time to take their call to tell them to "jump off".

In all seriousness it is no wonder why the game is number 1 in the world. (And I think that the monthly fee is more like 14 bucks.

* Continually updated quests and zones.
* Enjoyable no-smack-talk pvp environment
* Option to play on a pvp or player verses environment server
* excellent solo play or raid play depending on your style
* good character to character differentiation
* great user interface and countless homebrew modifications
* well done professional podcasts (The Instance is a good one)
* All consuming, time-eating virtual environment

I remember a time when World of Warcraft was a cool game. Long before they created this lame cr@p they call WOW.

I got this from BB a few weeks ago - and I haven't gotten a decent nights sleep at home since. This is a good deal. Wish they would come out with a WoW for the Forgotten Realms.

WoW pvp is dead. and has been for a long time.

afk in a battleground to get your gear..rinse repeat 100 times depending on the tokens you need.

need arena gear? play 10 games a week.

that's wow pvp. big wow huh. and yeah, i was dumb enough to piss away many hours getting "gladiator".

eagerly awaiting age of conan and warhammer online where pvp (err, world pvp) actually "matters".

I refuse to play any game that requires monthly payments. I will buy games and play online, but I will not be a sucker and pay every month just to play a game. There ARE other games out there that will not empty your wallet. Plus, GET A FREAKING LIFE!!!!!
