    Works well as a 1,694 dollar frisbee. Only Apple would call a 5.8% discount a good deal.

    Well, considering that Apples are NEVER discounted, it is a "good deal."

    Considering that even after the discount, Apples are still way overpriced, it's not a good deal.

    hey #1, "comparable" dells weigh 4lbs, not 3. Either that or they come with 12.1" screens and 1.2GHz processors.

    Does this mean Apple is having trouble moving the MBA?

    #5 m1330 ---- if you go with a LED screen it would be only half a pound heavier and several hundred less, as well as far more powerful...

    not as sleek tho...

    1330 = optical drive

    These things look totally amazing and I can see their appeal but I don't see much of a practical use, at least for me. I guess if you just want to go somewhere and surf the Internet or write a paper it'd work. I do like the idea of a solid state storage system, though.

    All XPS M1330 displays are 13.3 inch widescreen HD displays with TrueLife 1280x800. The LED display starts at 3.97lbs and is 0.87 inches thick compared to the standard display which starts at 4.28lbs. and is 0.97 inches thick.

    They advertise the LED weight, but yet default the LCD weight, tricky tricky.

    People, People, Please. You have been given the chance to become one of the elite few to acquire an "Apple". Just think of the bragging rights you will have in your circle of friends who "only" own a regular laptop. That, in itself, is worth ANY price. Consider yourselves lucky that this "deal" was made to us mortals. I, for one, am very thankful.

    There is no such thing as a comparable Dell.

    #11 - SS is great, but the drive is not solid state at this price point.

    These are engineering genius but I'm just not willing to pay the price for those specs. I got to look at one of these closely at Best Buy tonight and they are exceedingly nice though... and any time you can save money on Apple products can be considered a major victory as they are kind've tightwads with the discounts (unless you want refurbished).
