WTF kind of "bargain" is this, Bhen? Post this crap when it's $20

My motherboard has a dvi output, and I ahve a dvi to HDMI cable... will it be sufficient to output 1080p signal with this Blue-ray drive or do I need a video card with HDMI out?

#2, if your DVI has HDCP, it might work.

#2. it should work. Youd have to check your card specs. My 9800 gtx comes with a dvi-hdmi adapter and it outputs 1080p to my tv screen

Monitor may have to be HDCP also.. The joys of Screwray.. Better yet don't get one and leave the Screwray alliance wondering why consumers are not sucking up their overpriced BS... Death to the disk...

yea monitors have to be hdcp compliant if using a digital cable.(hdmi/dvi).

You can:

A. Purchase any dvd hd
B. Connect monitor via vga cable
C. Upgrade monitor
