Sony memory formats mean high prices and read/write speeds slower than constipation.

I can - if I try really hard - understand why they were pushing for blu-ray, since both HD DVD and blu-ray were 'new' to the game, fighting to become the standard.
But.. Memory Sticks are late to the party, with SD / microSD on top of the market already. If Sony wants to keep the old memory stick formats for their devices, FINE - if that's gonna help them salvage what little pride they have left. But WHY dear God WHY would you create YET ANOTHER format that doesn't offer ANYTHING better than what's already available, all at the attractive price of double the competition?
I mean... yeah, I know Sony = notorious for being stubborn for no other reason than... the sake of being stubborn, but OH MY GOD. It's like the company as a group drank from the retardation fountain.

Sony is annoying, period. Remember, they're the cause of the root kit
