Still the best deal on a blu-ray player, if it didn't come with the completely addictive gaming system along with it. Kind of stupid that the 40gb doesn't play PS2 games. Anyone know why that is?

Even more stupid is people wanting to play old ass games on a new system. 100 bucks more for 40GB and backwards compatibility? HELL NO... Great deal on a blu-ray player. Best entertainment system out there. The 360 is a better gaming system but sounds like a 747 taking off.

#4, it's not that stupid. If I invested money into those games and some/most are still fun, then it makes sense to be able to play them still.
FYI there are other differences between the 40 and 80gig models. Look it up.
