I'm getting real tired of all the morons who make a comment about rootkits whenever a Sony deal comes on here...they don't know what they are talking about and need to GET A LIFE! heres my impressions of this incredible MP3 player...and yes its waay better that Creative Zen..... The sound quality on this player is excellent- far better than any other MP3 player or iPods. Deep bass and crystal clear high notes- comes with excellent MDR-EX082 earduds (these used to cost about $80 alone) with 13.5mm drivers for fantastic sound. Its also 'open source' so you are not forced to use Sonys old dreaded 'proprietary' SonicStage software. I waited for several years before finally a decent sounding MP3 player came on the market and this is it. $130 for 8GB is a fair price. I'd recommend this player if sound quality is your #1 priority. Its even got a graphic equalizer where you can really tweak the sound including 2 custom settings. Another bonus is the incredible battery life- rated at about 35hrs+ I believe. Get it- you won't be disappointed.
