I assume this is similar to the DSM-510.. how do you stream hi-def Xvid files? I am using Tversity and the video seems to be transcoded OK, but the audio is messed up.

I've had the previous version (DSM-510) for a couple of years. I paid $140 for a used one on EBay. I also use TVersity for my media server software. You can also use Windows Media Player 11 in Vista to act as a server as well.

Overall, its not bad. Very easy to setup. The 510 is not HD. I use an S-video cable. Excellent for photo slideshows. Videos work pretty well, but the video navigations controls are horrible. Can only fast forward at about 2x speed.

I have the 520 and I love it. A couple of user interface gripes but they've significantly enhanced the firmware in the 1-2 years I've owned it. Do a search to find my prior write-ups about it, possibly under the 320RD as well. The ONLY thing I wish the 520 had was a built in DVD player as well (e a 320RD with HD), as that would enable me to consolidate components even further. Oh well... PM me if you have specific questions, I'll see if I can get back to you. For what it is worth, I'm thinking of getting a second 520 under this deal for my other TV.
