#1, I'm not sure if they ever offered a 2 month free trial. Obviously, I could be wrong. No matter, though, just sign up for 1 month and then cancel and sign up for another free month if you wish to get two free months out of them.

#3, I hope you are joking and trying to get a rise out of me. If not, then you are sadly mistaken. Netflix is hard, but not necessarily impossible, to get multiple free trials. Blockbuster, on the other hand, is ridiculously easy.

is blockbuster better or netflix on selection? i am planning to sign up for one. Netflix costs $7.99 for their 2 DVD per.

how about those bacon machine rentals you can even go online, and reserve a copy of the DVD you want and then go pick it up.

#6, if you live near a BB, it's possibly the better deal if you get the unlimited in-store exchanges and plan to rent prolifically. Otherwise, try Netflix 1st.

When they change the 5 in-store movie exchanges/month back to unlimited then I'll give them another chance. Till then, good riddance.

Their unlimited rentals are more like seriously limited rentals. Netflix is far better.

#7, I agree and I use the R3dB0x for new releases. The only problem is Blockbuster has bought their way into getting "exclusive" rights to certain DVDs and cities with both R3dB0x and Blockbuster, R3dB0x isn't allowed to rent them out. This is when having the Blockbuster account comes in handy. Also, I use the Blockbuster account to get TV shows and older movies... you can't do that with the R3dB0x.

Netflix is way better.

how quickly is the turn around for Netflix?

There isn't always a free month for this plan, I just looked a few days ago.

Blockbuster's selection is a little limited. However, the only people that will ever notice are those who like to watch a lot of independent films or foreign flicks. Blockbuster does have plenty of independent, music, action, etc. films to keep me happy, and they have never not had something I wanted.

I like Blockbuster better because I can return a DVD in store. This can happen quite frequently when I really want to watch a certain movie, but it is not one of the ones I currently have. With Blockbuster, I can go to the local store, return the DVD, get one from the store for free, AND the next one on my queue is immediately shipped. For me, this far outweighs any additional selection that netflix offers.

If you live in an area with a decent library system, you can get all sorts of videos - including new releases - free. Most also let you put hold on what you want and will transfer items within the local system free.

Anyone know if the unlimited package includes game rentals?

careful with bb "free,no late charge and unlimited" arent always as they seem.

18 for online it definitely is. The instore not so much. No late fees means you buy it if its more than 7 days late. At least its only 20 bucks now. Some of you youngins may not remember, but there was a day when you could rent vhs tapes before you could by them, and if you lost them they sometimes cost over $200 bucks.

#19, it takes more than a week to get charged for the in store movies and if you find a damn thing latter you can still return it and get all but around $2 back. Very fair I would say since late fees used to run that per day back in the days.
