If our sneakers are being made by slave children, why aren't they that much cheaper?

Have tried these on a couple of times at a local B&M. The cell shaped forms are on a cloth-type backing - they look like they would split after time. BUT - they were very comfy.

I have owned a few pairs of pumas and when I tried them on they were comfortable. The shoes broke down very quickly though.

With those red soles they would be great for working in a slaughterhouse

#1, if they used child slave labor then passed the savings on, what would be the point?
There seems to be a disturbing new trend though, design everything under $60 such that it falls apart in 2 months or less.
