I did this deal when they had 0% interest and made the mistake of transfering a balance from another CC thinking the transfer would fall under this promotion since the application is not clear on this. When I got the first bill the $100 was there and a fee for the transfer and interest for the amount I transferred. Luckly I was able to pay off the whole amount next day I got the bill, and called them and complaint and closed the account, they credit me back the fees and now they are begging me to use their CC. I still got the 100 for PS3 and I'm loving the game system. Just don't transfer any.

#1, you won't find a credit card that does not charge for balance transfers. You will see plenty that say 0% apr on balance transfers but that's it. I would venture to guess that the transfer fees were in the fine print.

PS -- I got my PS3 using the Sony Card and saved $100. It was and probably still is the best deal around!

Not really, #2, when you consider that there are no good games yet for the PS3.

uh... Metal Gear Solid 4... GTA IV... Devil May Cry 4... Time Crisis 4... yeah... pretty much all the 4s.

If feel sorry for you #3, perhaps you should time travel to the future and get a PS9 with old PS8 games.
I think the PS3 has a good selection of games.

That makes it a good price for a Blu-Ray player! Smile That is what I primarily use my PS3 for.

Personally I think the Walmart deal was better.

The ps3 is a disapointment in the games department. unless you are 12 and play guitar hero all day.

good deal, but walmart deal is better. 80GB PS3 can play tons of ps2 games
PS3 is kicking xbox360's ass, it will surpass a year early released xbox360 soon on sales
better to sell your microsoft's stocks, they will start to suffer... (zune is killing by ipods, lota store started not to sell zune; more ppl r switching to apple computers; xbox360 no blueray support and more good games r coming for ps3...

PS3 is a great console with blue-ray support.try installing Linux on it and make its use to the fullest

But why would I apply for a credit card and ruin my score when walmart is giving PS3 for the same price?

How come applying extra credit card will ruin the credit score if you pay the bill timely?

Walmart deal is better though.

every query into your credit history costs you some points

i will say that when i did this a while back, i had to call up chase and get them to add the $100 credit. eventually they did, but it was probably about 4 or 5 months after the original purchase.

I'm sure prices will come down soon, seems more deals are being offered. Walmart was just offering a $100 giftcard but could only be used online.

Could Sony be handling their PS3 any worse? I just recently got one for MGS4 and Blu-Ray... but wow what a blunder. Go online to any site and view the # of user previews for a game being released on both consoles on the same day. For example, NCAA and BATTLEFIELD are coming out shortly. One user preview for BATTLEFIELD on PS3 and about 30+ on XBOX. I think a 3 year old could be running a better ad campaign. See the new commercial? It has footage of the DEMO they charge $40 for in GT5, then they show some kiddy game for 30 seconds that no one has an idea what it is! Then finally a little peak at MGS4.

Truly the worst blunder in video gaming history. Going from #1 to a dismal mess.
