its actually a great idea and they are really well made these days. Great for people with allergies as well. Plus you're spending this money now and you can store it for years instead of spending upwards of $100 for a tree EVERY year.

Buy a fake tree and use it every year.

Why do we have to kill trees and then spend so much time, energy, and money to throw them away? At least this one you can use over and over.

I recommend going to your local Walmart and checking the trees out first. They had a tree there marked as being 6.5' tall. It was on about a 6" high stage they had for their fake tree display and I, at just over 6', was looking over the top of the thing. Christmas trees are supposed to be tall and majestic, not short and shabby.
