If it came in red, well... it would be less expensive in the long run if you just bought an Xbox 360. At least that red ring of death isn't literal.
If you are against spending shitloads of money on a diamond ring and think the idea of how much money you spent on a piece of jewelry represents how much love you show is kind of petty (and the whole diamonds are traditional thing is a farce spawned by a diamond company ad campaign), titanium would be the way to go.
Just make sure your partner won't be disappointed first.
