I looked at these for a long time. I just can't remember a time when the joint could have been so far out from the nut and still be useful. It would have to be out in the ratchet, then the flex would give me a chance. I'll pass
I have this set in Metric. There are times that the flex is useful, and a U-Joint on a socket won't do.
I will agree, it would be more useful if the flex joint was closer to the ratcheted box end.
