This seems safe? Does anyone know if this will play while the car is in drive? I know older models turned the video off if the car was moving (obviously easy to override)

If you can't watch a video or text and drive at the same time, you should be ashamed of yourself. Look at this guy doing it.

If you wanted this thing, which I have no desire, wouldn't you want it to work while you were in drive. What's the market for this thing if you cannot use it? It seems ridiculous. Kind of like the guy in #4s video. It for people who don't have enough money for an apartment but have enough money to buy this thing and live in their car.

Check state/local laws. It may not allow video monitors viewable (even if off) from the drivers seat. (So says the California law)

If you need to know what size your factory stereo is Crutchfield has a nice tool for that.

    http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/autoinfo/autoinfo.asp?lp=%2fapp%2fCar%2fMyCar.aspx

I think most Toyota's have a double DIN Stereo.

I wouldn't recommend this unit it looks very cheaply made. Also no sub output.
